Ingredients:
- 2 pounds ground beef or any ground meat you like
- 2 cups frozen peas or fresh
- 2 medium size tomatoes (peeled)
OR 6 tablespoons crushed tomatoes - 2 table spoon freshly ground garlic
- 2 table spoon freshly ground ginger
- 2 medium size onion
- 1/4 cup of oil (depending on how fatty is the ground meat)
- 1 and 1/2 tea spoon of sea salt
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper (optional)
- 2 pinch of clove powder
Directions:
Cut the onion and put into a medium size pot, and pour in the oil, and cook it on medium heat.
When the onion has become translucent, add the garlic and stir.
After 2 minutes add the ground meat and stir. And then cover the pot. Stir on and off.
After 10 minutes, once the water has come out, let it dry. Then when the oil has separated from the meat, add in all the spices and ground ginger. Stir 2-3 times.

Cut the tomatoes (or crushed tomatoes) and add to the pot and stir. Cover the pot with its lid for 4 to 5 minutes. Then take off the lid and stir again until the tomatoes disappear.
Then add in 1/2 cup water, cover the pot again, and let it cook for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes take of the lid and add in the peas and stir. Cover the pot with its lid again for 7 minutes and lower the heat.
Take off the lid and gently stir. The oil should be separated from the rest of the ingredients at this point. Turn off the heat.
Put in a serving dish and enjoy with roti, naan or with boiled rice!
