Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. carrots
- 4 L homogenized milk
- 1 cup Basmati rice
- 1 and 1/2 cup to 2 cups of sugar (according to your taste)
- 4 green cardamoms
- 1 cup almonds (peeled and chopped for garnish)
Directions:
Take a big deep pot and add the homogenized milk, the cardamoms and cook on medium-high heat. Let it come to a boil.
As you wait for the milk to come to a boil, shred the carrots in a food processor and soak the Basmati in water (for 15 minutes).

When the milk is boiling, add in the shredded carrots, and lets cook for 35 minutes. Stir frequently during this time.
After 35 minutes, add in the rice and stir. Let it cook and keep stirring until all the rice becomes tender/soft and has been completely mixed in well.
